Car Racing Games – Great for Entertainment

Car games do occupy an important place in the world of video games. These games can be found in abundance in a lot of websites. There are various types of car racing games, like drag racing games, Chevy racing games, Formula 1 racing games or simply road racing games. Whatever the type, these car games are surely very entertaining and exciting.

Thanks to the technological advancements, many improvements have been brought about to online games such as car games. Generally speaking the car racing games is 2D (two dimensional) and 3D (three dimensional) in nature and this allows the player to view every part of the car while the race is in progress. Even the routes where the race is being performed are mostly well-designed and very prominent. Because of the 3D technology, the player is able to see the headlights of approaching cars, red lights, street lights or even find his way through blockages.

It is not uncommon to find children indulging in these online games such as car games, etc at their own homes or in cyber cafes as the popularity of online games have soared tremendously and it is becoming more and more popular with each passing day. Some sites are exclusively dedicated to these online games and new games are launched almost everyday, and one also finds a lot of takers for these games because people show enough interest in playing them.

The main motive of playing these car games is to secure the coveted first position and to win the race and even if the prize may not be that attractive, it may be in the form of points or declared money. So although the prize is not that appealing, yet people are fascinated by online games and they put in a lot of effort to win it, by dashing against other cars on the route or even flipping them over, all just to cross the finish line first. It is the thrill that counts or maybe the satisfaction that one gets when winning the race while competing with the others.

Some of these websites offering online games also offer car games which are more sophisticated, in the sense that the players have many more options, such as choosing the mode of game play or even the make of the cars, be it a Toyota or a Mercedes. These are more sophisticated and interactive in comparison to the basic flash games where the only objective is to win the race and there are little options or controls available.

Online games such as car games may be free or one has to pay for it. Some of the more ‘high-end’ games require payment but mostly they are free of cost. Some even offer thrilling features like real time racing tournament, where one can invite his or her friends and race together in the same course in real time. This type of online games make for a great entertainment option when one is bored as playing these games may transport the player into another world altogether.

Which Of These Bird Feeder Plans Should I Use?

Why is this a difficult question? Because, there are as many bird feeders plans in existence as there are birds! Ok, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but not much of one.

So here is the situation, you found some free bird feeder plans, and you’re not sure which ones to use…stop right now and answer this question…what species of bird are you trying to attract? Haven’t considered that question? I don’t care how beautiful your project turns out, you simply will not attract hummingbirds if your birdfeeders hold seed!

Different species of birds have distinct feeding habits, and in order to attract a particular species you must select birdfeeder plans with those habits in mind. Have no doubt that whatever design you use you will attract birds…but don’t be disappointed if your wild bird feeders attract a less desirable flock than you originally anticipated.

For information on squirrel proof bird feeders click here.

As anyone who has ever hung a birdfeeder will tell you, if you’re going to feed birds…you’re also going to feed squirrels! Squirrel proof birdfeeder plans exist, but apparently nobody bothered to inform the squirrels of this point. Some designs do seem to slow them down a bit, but I have not yet found the 100% squirrel proof bird feeder. I’m fairly certain that if you hung a feeder on the North Pole, by 6:00 a.m. the next morning there would be a squirrel sorting through it for the choicest morsels. Save yourself the torment, and learn to enjoy their company!

Walk into any store that sells it, and sitting next to the bird seed you will find a dizzying array of manufactured birdfeeders. Call me old fashioned, but it just seems that wooden bird feeders fit in better with the ecosystem, and the general ideology of feeding birds, than some mass produced piece of colorful plastic.

So, decide which species of bird you’d like to see more of, grab an appropriate set of homemade bird feeder plans, and build a wooden birdfeeder that both you and the birds will enjoy for many years to come.

Inflatable Water Slides To Buy – What To Consider Before Purchasing An Inflatable Water Park

Are you looking for inflatable water slides to buy? If so, let’s take a look at what to consider when purchasing an inflatable water slide, or what is also known as a water park.

Kids would just enjoy having a water park in their very own backyard. Just think how many hours they would spend amusing themselves, at the same time keeping cool from the heat. It keeps them active, and takes away their boredom. Inflatable parks can be used either wet or dry, for summer or winter.

When looking to purchase an inflatable water slide, you will want to consider the following:

-Is the inflatable slide for your own kids, relatives, friends, or a business venture?

Surely it would make for a great gift, but the water park could also be an everyday surprise. If you purchase a commercial inflatable water park, you could surely start a business opportunity. You will be able to set-up the water slide at parks, events, fairs, and elsewhere in your community. Of course, you have to look into the legal and business requirements of such a venture.

-How many kids are planning to use the inflatable park at any one time?

Every inflatable toy that kids will be on will have restrictions in terms of how many kids can be on it at once. The specifications will list the maximum number of kids allowed at any given time, or the maximum weight levels. You have to consider what you are purchasing the inflatable water slide for and who will be using it. Always read the set-up and safety instructions, prior to use.

-Is there enough room for the inflatable and is the area safe?

Inflatable water parks come in many different sizes. Obviously, you have to consider the area outside in which you will be laying the inflatable on. The surrounding area should be free of any hazards to children, or even potential damage to the inflatable itself. The inflatable will have to be securely staked to the ground, so you do have to know the make-up of the ground.

-What features do you want and what is your budget?

You could say that the bigger the inflatable, then the more expensive it will be. This makes sense, as there’s more material to it, but also more kids can use it at once. However, some inflatable slides are made up of more than just a sliding area. Some inflatables also contain a bouncing area for kids, some have a ball pit area, some a basketball hoop. The more activities the inflatable park contains, the more kids can partake in.

These questions provide a pretty good overview on what to consider when looking at inflatable water slide rental for adults.

Spotting Scopes – What Are They?

Image result for spotting scopes

Basically they are a type of telescope that is designed to view objects on Earth and not in space. Many times a spotting scope is used by birdwatchers to get a close-up view of birds in the distance. Spotting scopes are also used by people who are “plane spotters.” The magnification range varies but the range usually falls between astronomy telescopes and binoculars. You can purchase spotting scopes at many bird watching and optical stores along with accessories like camera mounts and tripods. A spotting scope is designed to have a wide field of view to make it easier to spot objects in visual field. In the outdoors they are designed to stand up to rugged use.

Magnification

The magnification of a spotting scope is usually rated between twenty and sixty times magnification but it all depends on the type of product you purchase. One thing to note is that the higher the magnifications the more useful it will be in the field but you do not want a magnification that is so high that it can make the product hard to use. You also want to make sure that is not below twenty magnifications because if it is you might as well just purchase a regular pair of binoculars.

Features

• To be a good spotting scope it should be extremely lightweight so it is easy to carry when working in the field.
• They should also be weather resistant so the optical tools can be used in inclement weather.
• You can also get such scopes that have the ability to interface with cameras so you can photograph the objects they are looking at. Being able to use a camera is very useful for bird watchers who want photographs of the birds they have seen.
• Some even have mounts for telescopes

Types of spotting scope optics

There are two basic types which are:

• Catadioptric scopes – this catadioptric scopes uses mirrors to reflect light to create the image. Although this type creates clearer images they are more fragile. This type of product is also more expensive
• Refractor scopes – the refractor scopes uses an optical glass to bend the light to allow you to see the images. It is a lightweight product and is less expensive.

Designs

There are many different design variations which can include:

• Hinged so it can be mounted to a tripod but at the same time allowing the viewing aperture to be moved for shorter or taller people.
• No flexibility which can be easier to use when you want to track something in your visual field.
• Focusing mechanisms
• Weather protection

These products are a great alternative to usual binoculars but not many people know how these great gadgets work. If you are planning on buying the best spotting scopes then I recommend that you first read a few spotting scope reviews so that the decision making is an informed one.

10 Reasons You Need Swimming Lessons

Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons are an essential part of a child’s education, and whether they learn to swim at school, or at private lessons, being able to swim increases confidence, and can become an enjoyable and healthy total fitness hobby.

For adults who have never learnt to swim, or for those who haven’t been swimming for a long time, why not learn to swim today? Swimming lessons aren’t just for children.

Here are 10 reasons to book swimming lessons, and learn to swim today

1) Swimming lessons, and ultimately being able to swim brings many benefits, such as feeling safe near water, and enjoying being by the swimming pool and feeling confident enough to try other water sports perhaps whilst on holiday. Imagine being able to water ski, or sail a boat, or go sea fishing. Even just being on the beach or investigating rock pools requires a certain level of water safety, especially where children are concerned.

2) Many swimming pools and swimming clubs offer swimming lessons to children as young as 3. Your child is likely to enjoy learning to swim, and will experience a great sense of achievement as they progress from the first moments away from the side of the pool, swimming without armbands, and gaining badges and certificates. Swimming lessons for children are usually around 30 minutes long each, and parents can often spectate.

3) If you didn’t have swimming lessons as a child, you may think that you have missed out on being able to swim, but this needn’t be the case as swimming lessons aren’t just for children. Many clubs have at least one swimming pool, so that you can incorporate your swimming lessons into your fitness routine. If your children are having swimming lessons at school you might want to take them swimming outside of school. If you haven’t swum for many years and you don’t feel confident, you may want to consider organising your own swimming lessons, so that you and your children will benefit.

4) Los Angeles swimming lessons are often available for parents and children, so that children can get used to the water and build up their confidence before embarking on swimming lessons. Water skills are invaluable, and can be learnt at a very early age. Having fun in the pool is the most important aspect of these sessions, and the emphasis is on playing with toys and games rather than actually learning to swim.

5) Swimming provides many health benefits and a good low impact cardio vascular workout. Swimming is often recommended for those people who are recovering from injury or an operation, as well as those who are unable to undertake other forms of exercise. Swimming can be used as part of a rehabilitation routine, or as a water workout total fitness programme by itself.

6) A water workout is an exercise regime that is carried out in the pool without a swimming instructor. Instead swimming lessons showing exercises and required equipment are on cards so that the swimmer can work through the exercises at their own pace.

7) If you are a confident swimmer, then maybe you are considering swimming lessons to improve your technique. Expert swimming instructors can iron out any posture or stroke issues, and help you swim better. These lessons are longer, and it will be expected that the swimmer is already able to swim.

8) When choosing swimming lessons, it is important that you and/or your child feel comfortable with the environment and the swimming instructors. If the pool is dirty and has cracked tiles, then maybe you will think that the standard of swimming lessons provided may not be too high. Some people prefer their swimming lessons to be taught by their own swimming teacher, rather than be in a group. Having the instructor’s full attention can lead to quick progress, and any problem areas can be addressed straight away, but there are no others to swim with. If you feel that you or your child would learn best this way, why not see if your swimming pool offers one to one individual swimming lessons.

9) Swimming lessons should ideally lead to certification, such as the ASA awards, so that there is record of progress. Progression leads to confidence and shows how far they have progressed. Also, if you change club, the new instructors will be able to see the ability level and ensure that you are in the right group.

10) A swimming school should employ CRB checked, ASA qualified instructors who are skilled and experienced in providing swimming lessons for all different ages and abilities. Having the capability to communicate effectively is important when teaching both children and adults. The swimmer wants to progress, and the teacher wants their pupil to progress.

Swimming lessons can provide you and your child with new found confidence and skills which could save a life, and will last for life. As well as being a fantastic form of exercise, swimming is great fun and a rewarding hobby. Why not find out more about swimming lessons today, and see what you’re missing out on?

Dungeons and Dragons Books – How to Make a Cool Character

I am a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons books. I wanted to share one of my favorite characters with others who are interested. I hope it is of some use to you in making your own characters.

This character build was made to conform to v3.5 of Dungeons and Dragons books and the Living Greyhawk Campaign. It uses 28 point buy system for attributes, and a special race. I hope you like it.

Race: Snow Elf (+2 Dex, -2 Cha)

Class: Level 1 Barbarian/Level 5 Wizard/Level 10 Fighter.

Abilities:

Strength 16 (10 points), Dexterity 16 (6 points), Constitution 14 (6 points), Intelligence 14 (6 points), Wisdom 8 (0 points), Cha 6 (0 points)

Feats and Abilities:

Level 1(Barbarian 1): Simple Weapon Proficiency, Martial Weapon Proficiency, Light Armor Proficiency, Medium Armor Proficiency, Shield Proficiency, Endurance

Level 2 (Wizard 1): Scribe Scroll

Level 3 (Fighter 1): Heavy Armor Proficiency, Tower Shield Proficiency, Combat Expertise, Extra Rage

Level 4 (Fighter 2): Str +1, Improved trip

Level 5 (Fighter 3):

Level 6 (Fighter 4): Monkey Grip, Weapon Proficiency: Spiked Chain

Level 7 (Fighter 5):

Level 8 (Fighter 6): Str +1, Combat Reflexes

Level 9 (Wizard 2): Extend Rage

Level 10 (Wizard 3):

Level 11 (Wizard 4):

Level 12 (Wizard 5): Str +1, Craft Wand, Power Attack

Level 13 (Fighter 7):

Level 14 (Fighter 8): Improved Critical: Spiked Chain

Level 15 (Fighter 9): Cleave

Level 16 (Fighter 10): Str +1, Weapon Specialisation: Spiked Chain

The idea behind this character is simple. Make a cool fighter who can buff himself with spells and abilities.

This character can use wands even when in armor. A zap of bulls strength, bears endurance, cats grace, enlarge person, haste, and then raging makes this guy somewhat scary:

Str 26, Dex 18, Con 22 large creature with 70ft movement, 20ft reach, 5 attacks of opportunity a turn and a bunch of normal attacks.

Due to monkey grip he can hold a spiked chain in one hand, leaving his other hand free for a tower shield. He will wear mithral fullplate which counts as medium armor so he won’t lose his fast movement ability (with the endurance feat he can sleep in medium armor… no need to ever take it off).

With 26 Str and being a large creature, he can trip many opponents – definitely a benefit. He can increase his damage and/or his AC with Power Attack and Combat Expertise.

This is a fighter who can be both extremely defensive and extremely offensive. Just an example of some of the cool things you can with your characters when you apply a little foresight to their advancement. And if you haven’t already, grab yourself a copy of the new 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons books. Definitely worth a read.
